We are proud to share that on February 19, 2025, the California Department of Education, State Superintendent Tony Thurmond Announced the 2025 Model Continuation High Schools and BOYLE HEIGHTS HIGH SCHOOL is proudly representing the community of Boyle Heights/East LA.

Welcome to Boyle Heights High School Home of the Rising Phoenix where Success is a MUST.

Our Mission

The mission of Boyle Heights High School is to provide a success-oriented learning environment that addresses the individual needs of at-risk students by promoting academic, social, and occupational skills so that each student may contribute to and benefit from society. BHHS offers alternative pathways to graduation for students whose needs cannot be met in a traditional school setting. Students develop academic, social, occupational, and 21st century skills as part of a high-quality instructional program that addresses the whole child. Our overall goal is to ensure that all students complete the requirements for a high school diploma, and that they are career and college ready.
